I first engaged with Nancy over a year ago and met with her a few times, but I didn’t fully embrace her direction - so I quit. Lesson 1 - If you want to change your life, you need to participate and put your excuses and humility aside. There are lots of challenges in life, and your own willpower shouldn’t be the biggest hurdle. Nancy completely changed my way of thinking about food, broke my belief that all carbs are bad, and kept the focus on eating a balanced diet. As my weight journey continues, I’ll simply recommend Nancy as a excellent dietitian and hope you courageously take control of your own health. I’m embracing my lighter self, energy, need for new clothing, and complements from family and friends. I finally feel like I’m in greater control of my eating and health. I know more about what to eat than ever, my insulin needs have dropped drastically (less than 1/2 of when I was eating low carb), my A1C glucose test is 5.7…lower than it has ever been, and I don’t feel constantly hungry or like I’m denying myself. The singular difference in my life was not exercise, or a low-carb diet, it was the meetings with Nancy and learning to eat the appropriate way for my body and weight goals, and eating a balanced diet of nutritionally valuable food. Nancy listens, is easy to work with, can meet virtually, and will focus on your individual needs and lifestyle rather than some cookie cutter approach.

I have spent my entire life being overweight, until I finally wanted a change . I participated in weight watchers, and have always been active, but I never saw results until I started working with Nancy. I have been working with Nancy for over 2 years now, and I have reached my goal weight, which once seemed impossible. We have actually set a new goal weight since I can easily maintain my previous goal weight. I have worked with personal trainers, and none of their services compare with what Nancy offers, as she really shows the importance of food. She does not try to eliminate food groups from my diet, which has been a huge part of my success. I am a completely different person in my approach to food and wellness from where I started, and I attribute that to my work with Nancy. I eat and enjoy foods and snacks that I never even had in my vocabulary, prior to meeting Nancy. There are also A LOT of foods that are VERY good for me, that I didn’t even pay attention to prior to meeting Nancy. There is no magical pill or diet, and that is what Nancy showed me. We both completely changed my eating habits, with no short cuts. Though I am extremely happy with my progress thus far, I still work with Nancy because I am always learning something new and improving on the work we have done. I was always thin and then lost 20 pounds due to a severe bout with GERD. Nancy gave me many suggestions of how to introduce new foods slowly into my diet. She taught me how to be a detective in order to figure out what works for me. She also encouraged me to begin light ‘strength’ training.
